Vintage Trouble

Vintage Trouble 1 Hopeful Road is a brand new album from this high energy band. A follow on from their ‘Bomb Shelter Sessions’ album, the music just gets better and better. From the very start, ‘Run Like The River’ is old fashioned blues, complete with electric slide guitar with a modern rocking twist to it. Ty Taylors voice is soulful and rocky and bluesy and all those other things that you can say with words that I just don’t know how to use them to describe his unique talents.
The album isn’t all out high power in your face music, there’s some great soulful ballads on here too.
‘Another Man’s Words’, sung and played beautifully, it takes me back to the days of dance halls and the last dance of the night. You get my drift?
‘Before The Teardrops Start’, again, lovely bluesy guitar work from Naile Colt and ‘Soul Serenity’ is almost an unplugged song with the band in a laid back acoustic mode.

One of the things about a great band is their ‘togetherness’, the way they intertwine musically. Naile Colt plays both lead and rhythm guitars, ably assisted by Rick Barrio on bass and Richard Danielson on drums. Ty Taylor’s vocals backed by the other members, are superb. I want to use another word that would say they were even better than superb, but I don’t know what it is! The production of this album is quality too. I’m even going to go as far to say that I think this could be my favourite album of 2015. There, I’ve said it.
